I am a daughter, wife, mom and sister. I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, but grew up walking distance from the sea on the West Coast of South Africa. I finished my high school career in 1991; instead of going to study I went with my parents to Germany for 2 years. When we returned to South Africa in 1994 there was a change in Government. Everything was different. I started working at local establishments as we were based in Volksrust, Mpumalanga. In 1998 I went to work in Johannesburg, and then when my folks relocated to Pretoria I moved in with them for financial reasons. By the time I realised I was going to be a single mom, I still had not furthered my education, and my job prospects were not great to support a small baby. I worked where I had to – even doing stocktakes till 3 am and working out of town away from family. I was always grateful that my mom was always there for me. Whilst working and supporting my folks and my son I met my husband online(well sort-of)at which time my son was almost 4, today he is 19 and we have not looked back. We married in 2004 and within 9 months of marrying my mom passed away. The loss to us as a family was devastating. I decided to get back to work to help me cope with the loss of my mom. I landed a job at a leading financial services company and became the best at what I did and there was no stopping me; but as like many other people I realised working for a boss was not for me. A friend of mine introduced me to a network marketing company; however I was not that keen on marketing their products as it was in an area that I had no knowledge of or interest in. I started looking at other opportunities, I wanted a flexible lifestyle.
I started as sales representative for a cosmetics company and moved up to become a team leader. When my work was relocated to Johannesburg, I resigned. With the support of my family, I worked my way up. In 3 years I achieved top 100 status and after another year my team and I achieved Top 20 in South Africa. I really loved their products, however felt the support from their head office was really lacking. So when my friend shared this opportunity I was not quite ready. I said no more than once, but after looking at the products I became a Forever Business Owner in May 2013 – I only wanted to get my products cheaper and I had had enough of my friend telling me what a great opportunity this is. She dragged me off to training sessions and success days and whatever event was happening. When the marketing plan started making sense I started to focus on recruiting a few more team members and did all I knew then to help my downlines grow. In May 2014, myself and 2 of my downlines achieved Supervisor status. I made a decision to educate myself in the network marketing industry. I came across more information than I ever expected. I kept on learning and seeking ways to improve.
In 2016 South Africa hosted one of the Forever Global events. This made me realise what an absolutely amazing opportunity Forever actually is. I have since had to take a year off to look after my dad as his health is starting to fail. I love the products that Forever Living Products markets, their ethics and their support for Business Owners.
